And i think you are right that the solution sounds so simple and so simple that people will not even bother to consider this solution or think that doing such a simple amendment could solve the problem so effectively. Maybe the people in the industry used to solve things in a very "scientific/mathematic/ec onomic" way ... That's why you don't see any similar solutions in the internet like ours (if you saw one means we're violating CF's rule on originality :P) as we came out this solution through our experience in life as a frequent train rider :D To be frank we came across this idea a few years back ... However at that time we realize this proposal seems to be too sci-fi to us .. Only until we realize the maturity and advanced improvement of roller shutter door technology, we know that it's the opportunity to make this idea come true!
Another point you got it right is the structural stresses problems that we've consulted relevant expertises and concluded the solution is feasible and with current materials technologies and many numerical modelling softwares, structural stresses will not be a big problem in our solution. The technology is there and all we have to do is work up the details !
