Abstract
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY - Team FUNDOR Do you admire people like Warren Buffet, Bill and Melinda Gates? Then you and Fundor have something in common. These people are admirable not just for their ability to produce immense wealth, but for their ability and their DESIRE to give back to society. They rightly understand that they have more than they need, and that that excess can be translated into sending children to school, or providing healthcare to those unable to access it, or provide drinking water to an entire village somewhere. So, to be like them, do we wait till we are middle-aged, own a couple of villas around the world and enough cars to fill up a museum? To give away money, you have to have it first, right?Exactly.Fundor understands that a lot of us want to do our bit for the world, but are unable to do much, for financial reasons. Fundor makes you a Donor, but it isn’t your money that is being donated.Think of it as a new-age Robin-Hood, with you(FunDonors)as the partners in “crime”! Fundor will be an online micro-fund raiser for NGO’s and social sector organizations in India. These organizations do not have the resources to publicize and fund-raise for their great work, and donations are infrequent. Fundor is an online community of givers, a kind of Facebook for the socially-minded, with the focus on coming together to give to those in need. It will have the following features:- • Existing popular hobby games – Crosswords, Sudoku puzzles, various daily Quizzes, Hangman and other such games which are SPONSORED, by companies/firms looking to fulfill their CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) obligations. • The prizes won by the winners of these daily games will go towards the NGO’s. Fundor will ensure that the winnings are distributed equally amongst all the NGO’s supported by it. • It will feature an e-commerce platform for sale of NGO products only.By retaining a small percentage of the sales, Fundor will be self-sustainable. • It is a not-for-profit venture. At Fundor, we want to ensure that we share our fun and happiness with those less fortunate than us, so that by 2030, it is Survival of the Happiest rather than Survival of the Richest. Also, through the use of “thinking” games like Crossword puzzles, quizzes etc., we aim to link the future to the past; ensure that we preserve the essence of fun in this ever-changing world run by technology.A donor will also feel like he has actually worked to earn for a cause/NGO rather than simply donate at the click of a button. Fundor is unique because it appeals to all ages and geographies, and brings a community approach to donating.

Well, I meant that you pull out a good video, the message was clear for me judging by your video, - the solution intended to promote social platform to support poor kids and push their quality of life. Plus, you have several soundtracks that are pleasant and catchy, kids speaking English, even interviewee and more importantly a question at the beginning of the video that I found very convincing…there is only one thing about second round, I can not see executive summary or is it disabled at the moment? Cause I wanted to see how it actually works…the description…

Thanks for the feedback Denis, this was very helpful:)
Yeah i guess just the video is visible to the community. The abstract from Round 1 is still up but that doesn't really say much..
guess it's the video all the way!
i'll pass on the summary if you're interested..

@Denis - indeed at this stage you cannot see any more executive summary unless you will be among youth judges. This is also to protect IP of ideas as submissions are receiving many page visits and public visibility.
@Priyanka - your video is very vivid, linked to the mission, and engaging all us emotionally. I have really enjoyed a lot watching it. Congratulation!

I have to point out a few thoughts on this idea. The basic principle of economics and the basic principle of the workings of any company is maximization of profit. Thus, no company will sponsor donations out of good will, but marketing purposes. As a matter of fact, I take it for granted that you will focus on the marketing aspect when finding the sponsor companies.
However, there is only a finite amount that a company will sponsor and the most probable situation to occur is that it would come to a marketing war on your website and the focus would be lost.
It is truly a great idea, collecting donations by people playing games sponsored by huge corporations, but those same corporations will rather invest their money in Super Bowl commercials and other means of advertisement, if this website does not become popular worldwide (the facebook kind).
We are living in a down falling world created by the same companies that you wish to sponsor your project. Of course it is great to get positive feedback for your idea, but you have to be realistic about the world we are living in; most of all, that we are living in a world where only a handful of people actually care abut those in need. Since, if everyone cared, we would not live in this sort of world in the first place.

Hi Tarik,
I enjoyed reading your feedback, many points of which I have addressed in my detailed solution. As you have rightly mentioned, the main concern of companies/corporates is profit, not charity. However, you are quite harsh in your judgement of these companies and their intentions. You should give them the benefit of doubt sometimes:)
I am aware of quite a few very famous companies here in India, including some very prominent global hotel chains, that discreetly do a lot of good work. They have set aside a fixed percentage of their annual budget for CSR activities and do it, without advertising. More than an image for the public, such a company makes its own employees feel good about working with them.
Of course, this is company policy. Others may want to display their CSR (this would be majority of the companies...), and for them Fundor will provide a Thank You page where NGO's will thank them, as well as the players (i.e the public).
Infact, there is a recent proposal by the Indian government to make it mandatory for a company to set aside atleast 2% of its annual budget for CSR, so that ensures that helping those who NEED your help becomes a compulsion, not choice (which is sad, actually..) .
Fundor intends to primarily help connect donors to the public, so it will not lose focus from that and become a marketing tool for companies.
So, maybe enough people haven't cared yet, but we can change that now, can't we?:)

That is definitely good news to hear, it is really a shame that full descriptions of projects cannot be read, but what can one do. My academic education in economics has taught me a lot about major global corporations and I am truly not a big fan of them; thus, from there comes the harshness.
Corporations existing in the Eastern part of the globe, as well as those in the Arabic countries definitely would support this project with more care than Western corporations; which are unfortunately the first one that people associate with the term big companies.
I did not know about that proposal by the Indian government, but it sound very promising. It is definite that people must change and that people should start caring more, something that we not only can, but must do.
I do not know if you have considered it, but getting the support of governments and international funds coming from the UN and similar institutions could attract much more people to this, mainly because the people will react to something supported by their leaders :).

hey well done... :)
Every idea in this competition is meant for a noble cause..
And everyone is running blindly to get more accolades for their own idea.. We all are trying to gather and convince friends to vote for us..
But as a part of this competition, we ourselves should motivate eachother.. for a while we should keep the competition aside.. and we should look into all our felllow competitor's ideas.. and should encourage the idea they came up with for the noble cause..
Lets keep aside the competitive feelings aside.. and lets vote for all the ideas we consider worthy in our perspective...
lets encourage each other ideas.. I will vote for you as i liked your idea.. and for all other ideas as well which i liked..
Join me in this drive of voting and encouraging your those fellow competitors.. WHOSE IDEAS YOU FEEL ARE WORTHY...
If you like mine, you are cordially invited to vote for our idea too....
