If I am on the right track, your point is that recycling will award user by getting additional points in games, that are not particulary content connected to your idea?
What is your plan to include and attract game makers? And what if those games are violent or destructive for kids?
I think this awarding with points is a good idea, but you should think maybe of narrowing the points giving. Otherways, the problem you addresed is important and it would be fun to get some points for recycling:). It would be interesting for kids especially.

our idea would connect to a SNW game application, not to any other game on a different platform because we do not want to endorse violent games..just those fun and cool game apps from facebook and othe Social Networking Websites Katarina :D

we did not make our own game because people usually tend to get bored if they just play one game, so we thought why not let them choose a game and also let them change the game they want to play, that's when we decided that it would be better to just connect to SNWs for games. The main point of our idea is to just teach the people to throw their garbage in the right place, and create a cleaner more "greener" environment. ^_^

Litter and garbage has already become the plague of up-to-date world. It is almost impossible to find a center of population that doesn’t have such a problem. So, I believe our solution can help to solve this severe problem! You got my vote!

this is great, but i have one suggestion. It would be very valuable if trash bin could scan product and identify if it is naturally made or it contains a lot of unhealthy stuff in it for human consumption...read it from product label ;] Plus, it is very cool when trash bin sorts the trash, so efficient
