HOW TO PROVIDE OUTSTANDING LEADERSHIP & FACILITATION WITHIN AND ACROSS CULTURES,Hayley Lapalme, Canada, workshop on leadership

The goal of this workshop is to develop the leadership skills of the C:F community to build an organization of inclusive, self-aware, and dynamic facilitators who lead effectively in intercultural groups.  We will explore the role of leaders to harness diversity in groups like C:F to produce thoughtful, innovative, and inclusive outcomes.  Specific attention will be given to the roles of culture and “deep listening” in group work and to the role of the leader in creating the conditions to create outstanding cross-cultural collaboration.

Your guides, mr. Urban Logar and mr. Miro Gračanin will lead the way through the city centre of Ljubljana. From the Primary School Trnovo you will pass the Plečnik House (Plenik is famous architecht who had strong impact on modern identity of Ljubljana), the church in Trnovo and you will walk along Ljubljanica embankments, on the very popular Breg street, which every Sunday turns into vivid flea market. Then you will cross the Bridge of Šentjakob and head through the old city centre towards Ljubljana Town Hall, the seat of the City Municipality of Ljubljana. The tour will continue alongside river Ljubljanica, which is one of Ljubljana's most notable landmarks. Ljubljana, called Emona in Roman times, is densely scattered with remains from that period. Once burial ground, today Kongresnitrg Square, will be your final stop before visiting National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia (Slovenian Parliament).
