The Generation Y and Experts perspectives on Sustainable Future

On May 18, 2010, innovative youth, business leaders, educators, government change makers and media from different corners of the world will come together in Bled, Slovenia under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr. Danilo Turk to celebrate innovation, dialogue, and sustainable future.

In addition to the great speakers and exciting networking opportunities, the Gala will serve as a culmination for an eight-month-long global student competition on innovations for sustainable future, called Challenge:Future. The competition has united youth from 184 countries from 964 universities and business schools. At the Gala, the best team will receive the grand prize of 20,000 Euro as recognition of an outstanding achievement, while the most innovative school will be celebrated for promoting sustainability thinking and action.

Why to attend?

Innovation and future thinking are key elements required toward developing and maintaining a successful business, economy and society, especially in present global landscape that is constantly shifting and evolving at an ever quickening pace. Will the same trusted strategies that have worked in the past be successful in the time of climate, water and natural resources crises? Will they align the organization to execute the strategy based on employees from (of) generation Y? There is no simple and universal answer but only bold and clear requirement that leaders need to think ahead:

• to foresee the whole picture, with global interdependences and global opportunities

• to recruit and motivate global talent from Generation Y that will enhance the future success

• to step ahead from commitment to sustainability and corporate responsibility to necessary actions

Join us for an afternoon of inspiring ideas and meaningful conversations, including:
