Drilona Maqedonci Part of C:F Virtual Marketplace

Her name is Drilona Maqedonci. Her family and friends call her by her full name. She is 24 years old, a graduated artist from Prishtina, Kosovo. She loves exploring the woods and drawing everything she could see, including many things that nobody else ever see. It is our pleasure to welcome Drilona along with Mihaela, Marija and Jude on board the C:F Virtual Marketplace. Below read our short interview with her

CF: Dear Drilona, can you share with us, one memory from childhood that you think resonates to how you became an artist today?

Drilona: When I was a young child I would love to hear my parents tell me that we were going on a trip. I would be full of excitement, because I knew that we would be going to a place that I had never seen before. Two of my most cherished, the beach, and the mountains. And here this memory connected to to my artistic work. Much of my work in the Visual Arts is centered on understanding and creating compositions from the exploration and dynamics in Landscape. We are an expression of great nature.

CF: How do you describe your art?

Drilona: My style of art is a blend of fantasy, surrealism, and visionary art. Such as entomological illustration, plant illustrations, pen and ink structures, etc.Although I enjoy painting and other types of media, I truly prefer pen and ink because of the fine detail, the close relationship of the mind to the drawing surface, the contrast that can be achieved, and the feeling of caressing the drawing surface with the pen. My themes tend to be many-fold, as I do many types of artwork, but my true love revolves around the interrelationship of the environment and all forms of the animate and inanimate.

CF: And the last question for this round - what kind of world do you envision in 2026? How does that world of the future align with you?

Drilona: I am a nostalgic person, so I love better the World in the past, than the World in the future. In my eyes, the future is more frightenning than it is exciting. I face the future with assurance and hopefulness, although life has many obstacles. I have big plans for my future. I plan to make something of myself always doing what I love ,Art, and not to give up. I have a major fear of failure, and I won’t let it get to me.These are things in life that you just have to let happen. ... You also have to make decisions that will help you live a longer life
