cf:impact - International Lohanas TPDWW (Tree Plantation Drive World Wide) Project event with CF

13th of June was a special day for the D.S. Girls High School (Govt) Nagar gate, Jam Khmbhalia, as the school hosted workshop to conserve environment within the scope of the International Lohanas TPDWW Project.

The purpose of the workshop was that it turns the school into a green campus and aim at giving a more healthy environment to the girl students. Further on, to stand as an example of a “green revolution” in Jam Khambhalia by planting trees on roads wherever it is possible. Thirdly, to add more green areas in the city (gardens, park), so that children will be able to spend more of their idle time there, rather than playing video games or watching TV. Finally, the activity was a place where attendees were able to hear more on the types of renewable sources of energy.

Discussions featured plenty of topics, and included: water harvesting, tree plantation, compost manure, Ayurveda and plants – going organic, connectedness between religion and trees, and how all these make up for a healthy environment for the school.
