Most Innovative School 2013

by C:F Team on 11th November, 2013 at 9:27 PM CEST

The CF Hall of Fame celebrates the schools that have demonstrated a real commitment to supporting their students to seek out and gain real-world experience to complement their classroom learning.  It's the hall where universities can distinguish themselves for their progressive thinking, engaged faculty, and ambitious students.  By engaging schools, CF creates an external platform that provides a playground where students can experiment with ideas, faculty have an arena to put their passion to work through mentorship, and the school can showcase its engagement with the global community. The Most Innovative School Award is used to distinguish the schools whose members have generated the most number of sparks through their participation in the online platform, and it's the honour that sends the school into the Hall of Fame for a year.

History repeated itself earlier this fall when CF announced the winner of the Most Innovative School Award.  For the second consecutive year, the Faculty of Economics Podgorica earned the prize.

The school's faculty and students can be proud of the ideas, effort, and commitment to innovation which warranted this recognition.  Supported by their faculty, the students from Podgorica outnumbered the participants from any other school, and the quality of their ideas was evident in the "Future of Work" Main Competition, where the school's team, The Balkans Inventors' idea to develop Montenegro's organic agriculture sector gained the support of the CF membership, and was recognized as the Community Winner.

When asked about the successful defence of their title for two consecutive years, student Balkans Investor's team leader Dzemal Lekic replied with his eyes on the future, "It will really get competitive now, because no one will want us to win a third time!"  There's nothing like a healthy spirit of competition to mobilize quality ideas, innovation, and collaboration.  The Faculty of Economics of Podgorica has modelled excellence in this field for two years, and we salute them.

Will they do it a third time next year?
