Identifying the Life

“The day you face no difficulty means you are on the wrong path.” – Swami Vivekananda

We all know and listen thousands a time that life is a challenge. Challenge:Future is not only about identifying the challenges (whether they are local or global) but to act on them too. And this time, let’s focus on very personal and interpersonal challenges. It is where the actual life lies.

I have tried to identify few situations where the challenge lies:

• Admitting that it was wrong not to recognize that some else’s point was valid.

• Maintaining a good relationship with others. If someone asks for an advice, then you are challenged to give your true but critical advice.

• Ethically violating learners’ rights in the name of learning. Over-working a learner rather than make them to work, is a true challenge.

• Not habitual with acts like Morning Prayer, reading health news but still you continue it without breaching the consistency is true challenge.

• It is a challenge to be there and prove that you can do something so people will start to believe in you.

• Working doggedly for positive change even when your personal life has nothing to do with the current political state of your nation is real challenge.

• Making a decision to maintain value system and being ready to face all the difficulties coming in the long run is a challenge.

• Publicizing that “no! It was not me”. It was my brother, my junior or my colleague who did a positive action is true challenge.

• To give is truly difficult in today’s highly possessive world.

• To leave the discomfort zone is too easy. To say no, because you are not able to say yes is easy. It is easy but not appropriate.

After all it is not always good versus bad but many a time it is one good versus another good. No one is wrong. Actual challenge lies in choosing the one which is more appropriate – as decisions matter most in life. This article is special learning for me. I learnt that in challenging situation what you need is support and care by friends and relatives. I am thankful to Jude (my big resource in writing), Samuel Duru (our caring team leader) and Dan (the Multitasking Guru) for their extra ordinary support in final shaping of the article.

Life is a challenge; we've got to face it, and of course strive to make the most appropriate decisions.

Good one Dharmesh.

I think it is great that you are encouraging people to maintain true to their values and work hard, no matter the accompanying stress or issues. As is commonly said, there is no hard work without a challenge!

Quite inspiring and learning for one like me. I often face situations like 'learn to say no', 'good versus good', and more mentioned here. Being true is not easy always, yet we've lost the values behind those truth. We have renamed them in the name of relations and caring that we posses for others. But someday we will realize the true value of truth, that is, "Truth is bitter, always".

"To thy own self be true".

Life is a challenge in itself, and sometimes you just want to stay in bed, leave the covers over your head and never come out because it all seems so lost, so depressing.

But what makes me NOT do that, is knowing all the wonderfully creative ideas by young people everywhere I would miss. The possibilities and innovations at every corner. But most of all, the opportunity to learn from great, young minds.

"Actual challenge lies in choosing the one which is more appropriate – as decisions matter most in life."

Thanks Dharmesh, for reminding us of that
