YOUTH for youth. C:F Change begins.

by C:F Team on 22nd December, 2011 at 1:27 PM CEST

It’s time for holidays, it’s time for celebrations. And we would like to give you one more reason to be happy.

This autumn we’ve launched the Autumn Season of challenges, three short competitions meant to put your minds to work. We were impressed by the outcome! A lot of great ideas, innovative approaches and creative solutions came our way.

In C:F Change - YOUTH for youth challenge, we’ve asked you, smart young people around the world, to implement projects and create real impact in your communities by helping unprivileged youth. You put a lot of effort and hard work into this, spent a lot of volunteering hours and impacted tens of thousands of young people world-wide.

So many good projects, passionate people and real actions that our Judges requested few more days to select all the Finalists. They will be announced on Wednesday, 28 December, 2011.

As you already know, 20 solutions will go to the Final Round, 15 submissions by Judges and 5 by Community votes. Yesterday, 21st December was the deadline for voting, so let’s meet the first Finalists.

Falilu Agbaje with We Choose Life, 78 votes

Faisal imtiaz wih Together WE CAN, 78 votes

Sachi Bansal with Swapan Project, 74 votes

Laurence Lloyd Lumagbas with Revo Rangers, 69 votes

Jennifer Ali with Heaven on Earth, 56 votes

Dan Stefanica with It’s going to be the future soon, 56 votes

As both 5th and 6th places had the same number of votes, they were both selected.

Congratulations guys! We’re looking forward to seeing the rest of the Finalists on 28 December.

Important!  For the next stage, and in order for the judges to select the 5 Winners coming to the C:F Academy and Summit, each Finalist will need to prepare a short report and provide more information about the projects. The next steps and details will be announced on 28 December as well.

Now, while waiting for the final announcement of Finalists, tell us which THREE words will guide you in the coming YEAR 2012? Join the challenge!
Happy holidays and a big hug to all of you,
C:F Team
