Believe in Yourself!

by Samuel Duru on 10th November, 2011 at 8:18 AM CEST

What’s going on in your head right now? Thinking of taking on a challenge? But, you, perhaps, can’t put your act together and do something. Do yourself a favour – tilt your head to one side, pull the plug from your ear and let all the cynicism, procrastination and indecision drain away. Cynics, procrastinators and those who are afraid to try, hardly ever achieve something in life. Or have you ever met a cynical, indecisive and/or unadventurous person who ever manages to achieve anything? Of course not. Procrastination is a thief of time. Moreover, negative mindset drains all your creative energy and prevents you from performing to your optimum capacity.

If it’s true that chocolate makes one fat, then it’s true that people who believe in themselves achieve their dreams. Now that you have flushed all that negativity from your mind, we can feel that ‘space’ with striking, constructive thoughts and achieve wonders. Miracles, however, always come with small print, but I’m writing it in bold. Your dreams can be converted into reality, but you have to charge them with belief and positive action.

Consider the following… • You are in charge of what you do. • You are in charge of what you think. • You are in charge of your emotion. • You are in charge of your energy. • You are in charge of what you eat. • You create your own reality!

“When you engage in systematic, purposeful action, using and stretching your abilities to the maximum, you cannot help but feel positive and confident about yourself.” - Brian Tracy

“In the long run the pessimist may be proved right, but the optimist has a better time on the trip.” - Daniel L. Reardon

Samuel you are great and a very motivational speaker, really love your topic and the words came out right.

I do believe in myself so much and I am responsible for all actions although am so scared of criticism but if you truly believe in what you are doing and who you are, you can never be discouraged or get depressed.

You are right Samuel.

Uncertainty is a weakening drug that runs in our veins and arteries. Believing in one' self not only makes one less intimidated but also helps one to remain focused.

I believe in myself, I know I've got potentials that will impact the world imbedded on the inside of me. I believe am part of this generation and a key player of my future.

Thanks Samuel for making me say the words out LOUD. I BELIEVE IN ME.

This article is great, congrats! These words make me think about what we want to do and what we can do: I think they are two different things. We are able to do only what we really want to do, what we fail is also what we don’t want to do. If we really want to do something we’ll always find a way to do this. Many people say I’m an idealist and other people even say I’m an utopian, but I still believe to realize my wishes and I firmly believes that youth can change the world. Everyday we can do something to change, we have just to want to. As said by the Chinese philosopher Laozi “it’s better to light a candle than curse the darkness.”
