What Lies Behind my Suffering?

by Dharmesh Bhadja on 23rd June, 2011 at 2:24 AM CEST

This is something very special and I want to share this to many of you as fast as possible.

Print this hard that it’s not the conclusion but the perspective which will definitely help us to live better, for after all, perspective is everything one need to perceive in order to see the wider range of reality.

Knowledge always brings the responsibility within it and that is the same reason for me to share this week's Hot Topic:

As already proclaimed by Janis Supe of Latvia at the very beginning of the future book, “Challenge:Future reminds me not only to challenge the future, but also to challenge myself.”

Let us begin by tracking down the road that is barely touched because it is the most efficient guide for us. For example, A car has a whole range of warning-lights, which turns on only when one of the car’s vital functions is no longer operating properly.

The real journey then now begins after that light turns on but yet, the destination is still away.

We feel so obliged to stop to check this signal. But is taking that light out when problems like this arise the ultimate solution for this problem? We should need to shift our attention from the light itself and turn to what lies behind it, so as to find out what is actually out of order. The light’s real function, in other words, is and was simply to act as an indicator and makes us aware about that ‘something wrong’ going on.

The warning light in our example symbolizes the pain and heartaches that we have in life. The very polarity of our consciousness means that we are not aware of our own wholeness, but only ever identify ourselves with one particular aspect of our nature. This aspect we call 'I'

The missing aspect is our shadow and this by definition, we are unaware of.

Humanity’s path is the path towards greater awareness. Everything that we do not wish or approve or recognize in our own shadow is the sum of everything we do not want. Not-seeing is rapidly expanded to include not-having. But we are blind – partially blind.

This is the key to understanding illness and healing. Every symptom is an aspect of the shadow that has precipitated itself into physicality. It is in the symptom that what we are lacking manifests itself.

It is in the symptom that we live out what we are refusing to live out on the consciousness-level. Through the medium of the body, the symptom makes us whole again.

With this new understanding, now ask to yourself: “why am I suffering from this or that symptom?”

The symptom is the physical, bodily expression of whatever is lacking in our consciousness. The symptom makes us honest by making visible that which we have repressed.

References made from my most favorite book HEALING POWER OF ILLNESS, Thorwald Dethlefesen & Rudiger Dahlke, MD said, “The whole of creation exists within you, And everything that is within you also exists within creation. There is no boundary between you and any objects, weather nearby or distant. A single atom contains all the earth’s elements. A single manifestation of you contains all life’s manifestations whatever.” - KHALIL GIBRAN

So let me ask you this question: How do you handle the things in your life when you’re in pain?

Let’s listen to each other and I hope that we can learn from any others’ experiences of moving on from the past to a more inspiring and fruitful future.

Love from,

I strongly believe in the wise saying that says " In life NO pain, NO gain." and also James Buckham wrote " Every trial endured and weathered in the right spirit makes a soul nobler and stronger than it was before."

Actually every phenomenon is determined by past and the future, and illness is no exception.

Behind every symptom there lies a purpose, a content, which merely uses whatever possibilities are available at the time for translating itself into physical form. Metaphysically, illness has an intentionality and a goal which ultimetly suggesting the Healing.

agree with Isra
Jatin, "we can convince our heart easily" - good for you if you think that, but I guess you have not been through real pain if you say that...
as for illness and physical pain, the greatest pain is the emotional one, and illness is in fact a reflection of it, not a cause, and for me the greatest pain could very easily be trying to handle a parent's sickness and not being able to help them
how do you handle that? and don't tell me "no pain, no gain"...

How do you handle the things in your life when you’re in pain?

I may sound absurd. But this is a one big question to every one of us. One of the hardest, I have encountered.

When people are in pain, they try to be happy, they go to parties, watch movies with friends, etc. but the real question is, did the pain fade away?

No. The pain is still there, it just subsided.

When I am in great pain, I wanted to be alone. I wanted to go somewhere far. I wanted to heal. How? By accepting things, by forgiving, by accepting our mistakes, by moving on, by understanding what happened and by letting go. It's a long process yet, we have to understand it little by little, you can never hurry things. We must take it slow. It may be hard, but if we have faith in ourselves, I know that we could do it.

Let's always remember these, every little things we encounter has its own purpose. It may be a challenge but who knows maybe there will be a new door that will open for us. :)
