Hydration is not only important for building muscle mass, but maintaining it as well, so don't neglect this important aspect of bodybuilding. Cheating a bit when lifting can help you maximize your workout. Using the leverage of your body weight to squeeze out a few more reps is an easy way to increase your workout results. However, you do not want to cheat too much. Make sure to perform all your reps at a controlled speed. Do not let your form be compromised. Preceding and following up your workouts with foods that contain plenty of protein is a good practice when you want to maximize muscle growth. For example, try consuming 15 grams of protein 30 minutes before your workout, and following up with another 15 grams of protein post-workout. This is about a glass or two of milk. You have to watch your calories, if you're going to build muscle. You can eat either good calories or bad calories, and therefore, it is necessary to educate yourself about what foods are good for muscle building. Consuming a poor dietary regimen builds fat instead of muscle. Pre-exhausting muscles is a proven method of avoiding limiting muscle fatigue. For example, your biceps might be fatigued before your lats on rows. You can solve that issue by doing a type of isolation exercise that does not require use of the biceps as much. As a result, your lats will be pre-exhausted, and when you do the rows, your biceps shouldn't be limiting you. Be careful of which methods you use, as some of them can be ineffective. You can risk serious injury by doing neck work, dips and split squats which can involve dangerous joint positions. Save the heavy loads for more appropriately big exercises like deads, rows, presses and of course squats. You should always set goals that are realistic when attempting to increase muscle mass. Remember that it takes time to really see results, and your efforts will be worth it in the long run.
