The Idea Proposal focuses on developing a more thorough understanding of the idea and relevant issues. Some of these include competitive strengths, idea innovation and positive long-term impact. The Idea Proposal should consist of:

 
o   Problem: What problem(s) are you solving?

o   Solution:

• How do you solve it, can it be done? (Technical feasibility if applicable)
• Prove that it is innovative, disruptive, market–changing idea
• Description of value proposition and features

o   Market:

• Who is target customer/user?
• Estimated size and value of the market (present and future)

o   Competitive Landscape

• Competitive analysis
• Results of patent search
• How is your solution differentiated from your competitor's? What are your competitive strengths?

o   Revenue Model

• How this idea plans to generate revenue

o   Plan for Execution

• Current status of idea (i.e. design, prototype,..)
• Your plan with the idea execution
• Resources needed (financial, organizational,...)
• Potential threats or challenges for idea implementation and how would you overcome them
• Potential partners

o   Sustainability impact of your idea

• How will you ensure long-term positive impact for society and environment
• Sustainable value ??

Semi-finals serve as a stepping stone for the finals as the selected finalists will continue to work on the same challenge for the Finals. The Idea Proposal developed in the Semi-finals will have to be developed into full Business Plan which the finalist teams will present in person in Bled.
